ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Olbia
Flight to Olbia. Welcome by an English speaking guide and transfer to hotel in Olbia. Rest of the day leisure time. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Olbia.
Day 2: Olbia – Nuoro - Cagliari
In the morning we drive to Nuoro. This town is located at the river of the Monte Ortobene in the densely wooded mountain landscape Barbagia. She maintains faithfully the old customs and traditions and therefore often becomes town of Sardinia as the original one. Visit to the folklore museum. Continuing to Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. Overnight stay in the hotel for 2 nights.
Day 3: Excursion to Nora
In the morning sightseeing tour in Cagliari and visit of the archeological national museum. In the afternoon continuing to Nora and visiting the ruined city with impressive remains from the Punic and Roman epoch.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Cagliari, Bosa, Alghero
Today's way leads us into the north of the island. Visit of the Nuraghen complex of Losa at Abbasanta. After that the journey goes to Bosa. The town was founded by the Phoenicia and was an important trade centre during the Roman time and the middle Ages. Continuing on the coastline to Alghero. 2 overnight stays and at in the hotel in Alghero.
Day 5: Alghero
After the breakfast visit of the Grotta di Nettuno which belongs to the greatest natural grottos of the Mediterranean. Then visit of the town which is located amongst olive groves, eucalyptus trees and pines. The old town with her narrow lanes, the cathedral and the church San Francesco is remarkable primarily. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Alghero, Castelsardo, Olbia
Today we visit the interesting old city of Castelsardo. The little narrow lanes which one can pass only by foot are picturesque. Continuing to Santa Teresa to the north. Afterwards we continue to Olbia. 2 overnight stays at the hotel in Olbia.
Day 7: Excursion to Costa Smeralda
Drive about Arzachena in the direction of Paulau. Continuation to the Costa Smeralda. Visit of some picturesque villages. Overnight stay and at hotel.
Day 8: Departure from Olbia
After breakfast check out at hotel, transfer to the airport of Olbia and flight back home. |
