ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Vienna
Arrival at the airport of Vienna. Warm welcome through English speaking guide and transfer with bus to the hotel in Vienna. Overnight stay for 4 nights. Dinner at hotel.
Day 2: Vienna
Get your own impression of the most important historic sights of Vienna. Along the Ringstrasse we show you numerous impressing monuments like the MAK, the State Opera, the historical art and nature museum, the cultural quarter Musuemsquartier, the Hofburg, the former royal Winter Residence, the Parliament, the City Hall and the castle theater. The highlight of this tour is a guided tour through the Castle of Schönbrunn, once a royal Summer Residence where Maria Theresia used to live in. Finally we see the Castel Belvedere and at last the Opera. The rest of the day is leisure time.
Day 3: Romantic Donautal – Wachau
A full day excursion on which we get to know the beauty of the Wachau. Through this historically important landscape and along lovely villages and steeply vineyards flows the Danube. We see the remains of Dürnstein where Richard Löwenherz has been captured and rescued by his faithful singer Blondel – according to a legend. We proceed with a romantic cruise on the Danube and arrive the old town of Krems which is situated in the heart of the Wachauer wine-growing district. Next we visit the abbey of the Benedictine named Melk, one of the most famous baroque-style buildings of the country.
Day 4: Vienna
Full day leisure time. Experience Vienna on your own.
Day 5: Departure from Vienna
After the breakfast transfer with English speaking guide and bus to the airport. |
