ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Arrival at the airport of Athens and transfer to the hotel in Athens. On the way to your hotel, you will get a first impression of the capital of Greece. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay for 4 nights at the hotel.
Day 2: Athens and its Acropolis
In the morning we will start with visiting the Syntagma Place, Parliament and the famous Acroplis. The Acropolis and the Parthenon dominate Athens, and are undisputable the historic highlights of the city. Especially the Acropolis is worth the visit due to the magnificent view of Athens and the surrounding temples below.
Day 3: Excursion to Delphi (on option)
Leave Athens in the morning towards Delphi via the National highway passing by Thebes, Levadia and Arachova. Visit the Museum of Delphi with the world-famous Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos, and wonder at the magnificent Ancient Sanctuary of Apollo.
Day 4: Excursion to Cape Sounion
We will leave Athens for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which offers a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf passing through some of Athens' most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varzika) to Cape Sounion where you will visit the 5th century B.C. temple of Poseidon with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world. On a clear day you can see at least seven islands. Drive back to Athens. The rest of the day is free of leisure.
Day 5: Departure from Athens
After breakfast transfer with guide and bus to the airport of Athen and flight back home. |
