ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Bari - Trani
Flight to Bari. Welcome by an English-speaking guide. Sightseeingtour around the exhibition centre and the Old Town, where you see the Castel del Monte. A short walk through th e Old Town of Trani and visit of the cathedral San Nicola Pellegrino. Sightseeing of the famous cathedral of Bitonto. Visit of Molfetta an old seaport and sightseeing of the minster of Molfetta, built in the 17th century. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Trani.
Day 2:Siponte
Today you can enjoy the very unique nature of Siponte. Contiuning to Monte San Angelo, which is the highest city of Gargano and rich of history and folklore. Also famous for the church of pilgram and grotto chapel Monte San Angelo. Visit of the roman church of San Leonardo. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel.
Day 3: San Sepolcro
Visit of San Sepolcro, a beautiful old church and the castle with the museum Nittis.Continuing to Canosa, where we see the cathedral and we will also visit the ciities Lucera and Foggia. Continuing to Troia, visit of the baroque cathedral Santa Maria Assunta built in the year 1100 and one of the biggest buildings in the region Venetien. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel .
Day 4: Diocese Ruvo
Driving to the diocese Ruvo, formed in the 12th century. We will see the emblem of the region, the castle del Monte constructed 540 m over the city. Since 1996 it belongs to the World Heritage Site. A rarity offers the Jatta museum with antique vases and ceramic art. Visit of the cathedral San Domenico. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Trani.
Day 5: Taranto
Visit of the city Taranto which is the city of the two oceans and a port of trade.´Visit of the cathedral Aragonesse and walk to the Ponte Girevole. Visit of Matera with the minster and grotto church. Also we will visit of Sassi, whith a grotto domicile in a good condtion. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Trani.
Day 6: Galatina, Assisi of the South
Today we drive to Galatina, the Assisi of the south and one of the most beauitful picture cycles in Santa Catarina. Visit of Santa Mariua di Leuca and Otranto with minster. We visit the crypta, where you see a floor mosaic of Panaleo. Sightseeing of Saint Peter and continuing to Lecce. Oernight saty and dinner at hotel in Trani.
Day 7: Locorotondo
Continuing to Locorotondo with the small town Martina Franca in the middle of the Itra valley and Alberobello which is tnamed as the capital of Trulli. At Alberobelle we will see the grottos of Castellena, one of the most beautiful stalactive caves of South Italy. Continuing to Benevento. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Paestum.
Day 8: Amalfi Coastline
Today we discover one of the most beautiful and spectacular coastline of the world. We will see picturesque small towns in the rocks. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Sorrent.
Day 9: Deparute from Sorrent / Naples
After breakfast, check out and transfer to airport of Naples and flight back home. |
