ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Madrid
Arrival at the airport of Madrid. Transfer to the hotel and dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Madrid – Oporto
Early departure from Madrid to Portugal. We will have a quick lunch at the rest stop along the way. Arrival to Oporto. Enjoy a sightseeing tour. Towards the end of the trip, you will see a centuries old wine cellar in Oporto.
Day 3: Oporto – Vigo – Santiago de Compostela
We will leave for the region of Galicia in the north-west of Spain, stopping in the Atlantic port of Vigo, the most popular city in this region. We arrive to Santiago de Compostela around lunch time. In the afternoon sightseeing tour. The historic zone is one of the most charming in Europe, with the impressive medieval cathedral as its centerpiece.
Day 4: Santiago – León – Oviedo
We will depart early, following the "Way of St James" towards León where we see its grandiose Cathedral with its stained glass windows. In the afternoon we will travel to the region of Asturias. At Oviedo time for leisure. Overnight stay in this Asturian capital city.
Day 5: Oviedo – Covadonga – Santillana – Santander – Suances
We will travel to Picos de Europa mountains, stop at the Basilica de Covadonga. The journey continues towards Santillana del Mar. Then drive to Santander a maritime city with impressive views and beaches. Dinner and overnight at Suances.
Day 6: Suances – Bilbao – Barcelona
We continue the mortorway by the Cantabrian coast admiring the wonderful views between the mountain and the sea. Bilbao, arrival to the biggest city in basque country. Free time to visit the museum or walk by the riverside. In the afternoon, departure towards Barcelona. Transfer to the hotel and acommodation.
Day 7: Barcelona
We will enjoy a tour of the city: the famous Ramblas, the works of Gaudí, and the old city. You will have the afternoon free. At night we offer transfer to the magnificent Olympic port, with its terraces and lively restaurants.
Day 8: Barcelona - Peñíscola - Madrid
We will leave early in the morning south through the coast of Peniscola, a picturesque Mediterranean village with its nice beaches of bright sand and a castle in the small península of narrow streets full of flowers. After lunch we will continue to Madrid. Arrival late at night.
Day 9: Departure of Madrid
Breakfast then check-out. Transfer to the airport of Madrid. Flight back home. |
