ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent
Arrive in Tashkent. Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva
After breakfast drive to the domestic airport. Flight to Urgench. Arrive in Urgench and drive to Khiva. Full day tour of Khiva. Visit Ichon-Kala, Pahlovon-Mahmud, Tosh-Khovli Palace, Shergozi-Khan madrassahs, Alloquli Khan madrassahs, Minaret of Kalta Minor, Djuma Mosque, Uch-Avlya Mausoleum and other highlights of Khiva. Dinner at Toza Bog Palace tonight.
Day 3: Khiva – Bukhara
Breakfast. Leave towards to Bukhara, stop to see the Amudarya River, known to many western explorers as the Oxus. Arrive in Bukhara late in the afternoon and dinner at hotel.
Day 4: Bukhara
Today we begin to explore the beauty and history of Bukhara. We visit the Mausoleum of Ismail Samani, Bolo-hauz mosque, Fortress ark and the Poi-Kalon complex. Three trading domes, Kosh madrassah, Tim Abdullahan, Magoki Attari mosque and Lyabi Hauz complex. In the evening attend a traditional Bukhara cultural folk show.
Day 5: Bukhara – Samarkand
Breakfast and drive to Samarkand. On the route we visit the Summer Palace of the last emirs Sitorai Mokhi Khosa, Gijduvan ceramic center, Vabkent Minaret and the ruins of Rabat Malik caravansary. Arrive in Samarkand and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is leisure time. Dinner at hotel.
Day 6: Samarkand
Full day tour of Samarkand. Visit Gur-Emir mausoleum – burial place of Great Tamerlane, Bibi Khanum mosque and bazaar, Registan square complex of madrassah’s (Ulugbek madrassah, Tillya Kari madrassah and mosque, and Sher Dor madrassah), Museum of foundation of the city “Asrasiab” – excavation of the old city called Marakanda, Ulugbek observatory, Shakhi-Zinda necropolis. Dinner in local house.
Day 7: Samarkand – Tashkent
After breakfast drive to Tashkent. Arrive in Tashkent and check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon visitation of the Chorsu bazaar, Kukeldash madrassah, Barak-khana madrassah, Square of People’s Friendship, Abdulkasim Sheikh madrassah, museum of Applied Arts. Enjoy tonight an evening performance at the Navoi Opera & Ballet Theatre.
Day 8: Departure from Tashkent
Breakfast. Check-out. Transfer to the airport and flight back home. |
