ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Tel Aviv
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met by an English-speaking guide and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Day 2: Tel Aviv
Full day at leisure. Explore Tel Aviv on your own.
Day 3: Tel Aviv – Haifa
Depart Tel Aviv and drive to the Diaspora Museum for a visit. Proceed to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. See the excavations of the Crusader city and the Roman port etc. Continue via the Druze villages to Haifa. Overnight stay at Haifa.
Day 4: Haifa – Tzefat – Golan Heights – Tiberias
The tour of Haifa will begin at the summit of Mount Carmel where you will take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the Haifa Bay and Western Galilee. Proceed to Tzefat. See its steep alleyways and old synagogues. Continue to the Golan Heights. Overnight stay at Tiberias.
Day 5: Tiberias – Kfar Nachum – Beit Alpha – Jerusalem
Start the day with a visit to Hamat Gader. Drive to Kfar Nachum (Capernaum) Synagogue and Church. While in Capernaum, visit Tiberias just around the corner on the Sea of Galilee. Drive to Beit Alpha. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 6: Jerusalem – The Old City
Visit the Tomb of King David. Walk through the newly restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Roman Cardo, the Herodian Quarter and continue to the Western Wall. Walk through the Shuk along the Via Dolorosa to the church of the Holy Sepulcher; proceed to Hass promenade for a panoramic over view of the Old City. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Jerusalem – The New City
Drive to the Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Karem. Proceed to Bayit Vagan to visit the miniature Model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. Continue to Yad Vashem and Jerusalem. See the Knesset, Israel's Parliament and the Givat Ram Campus of the Hebrew University. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Jerusalem – Qumran – Masada – Jerusalem
Drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Stop at Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. If time is permitting an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea. Overnight stay in Jerusalem.
Day 9: Jerusalem
Full day at leisure. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 10: Departure from Jerusalem
After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for departure. |
