ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Munich - Salzburg - Wels
Arrival of the group at Munich airport. Welcome through English speaking guide and drive with A/C Deluxe Coach to Salzburg. Short walking tour and continuation to Wels. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Wels.
Day 2: Wels - Kremsmünster
Sightseeing of the historic relicts of the Old Town. Then we drive to Kremsmünster and visit Benedicitne Abbey, one of the most famous baroque monasteries in Austria. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Wels.
Day 3: Linz – Saint Florian
Depature to Linz, the regional capital of Upper Austria. Visit of the Old Town of Linz. Then continuation to the oldest baroque Augustinian monasteries in the world, named Saint Florian. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Linz.
Day 4: Steyr - Garsten
Full day excursion to Steyr, founded in 1287, affected by gothic, renaissance, baroque and rococo style. Then drive to the former abbey Garsten. Visitation of the baroque Abbey and the Losenstein Chapel. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Linz.
Day 5: Melk – Dürnstein - Krems
After breakfast we drive to the abbey of Melk, one of the most famous baroque buildings in Europe. Guided tour through the old spirituality and cultural centre of the country. Then we drive to Dürnstein to the former Augustiner monastery and to Krems. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Krems.
Day 6: Krems - Göttweig
Visit of the twin town Krems/Stein. Then we drive to Göttweig with its Benedctine Abbey, founded in 1083. Visit of the museum, the empor and prince room, the Altmann hall and the abbey. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Krems.
Day 7: Herzogenburg – St. Pölten
Today we drive to the monastery Augustiner-Herzogenburg. Sightseeing of the collegiate church and the art collection of Herzogenburg. Then the tour continues to St. Pölten. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in St. Pölten.
Day 8: Lilienfels – Enns/ St. Lorenz in Lorch
After breakfast we go to Lilienfeld. Visit of the monastery Lilieinfeld.This monastery is one of the biggest middle aged abbeys of Austria. We will see the monastery and the cloister. Afterwards drive to Enns/St. Lorenz. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Linz.
Day 9: Wilhering – Munich
Continuation to Wilhering.and visit of the Zisterzienser Cloister Wilhering. Guided tour through one of the most famous baroque rococo churches in Austria.Then we drive back to Munich. Short walk through the Bavarian capital. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Munich.
Day 10: Departure from Munich
After breakfast check-out of the hotel. Transfer to the airport of Munich and flight back home. |
