ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Frankfurt
Arrival at the airport of Frankfurt. Our guide will welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. On the way short sightseeing tour in Frankfurt. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Frankfurt – Maulbronn – Stuttgart
After the breakfast journey to Maulbronn. Visitation of the Cistercial abbey. Continuation of to journey to Stuffgart and visitation of the famous Weißenhof housing estate, which was built in only 21 weeks. You will also see the “Killesbergturm”. Then visitation of the Art Nouveau crematory. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Stuttgart – Munich
After the breakfast we go to Munich with visitation of the church of our Lady and the Allianzarena. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Munich – Bamberg
Breakfast. In the forenoon visitation of the architecture museum whose main focus
lies in the collection on German architectur from the 18th to the 20th century. Approximately 400 inheritances of architects and artists such as Johann Dientzenhofer, Balthasar Naumann, Carl von Fischer etc are archived. Journey to Bamberg. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Bamberg – Dresden
After the breakfast we go to Bad Staffelstein. You see the basilica Vierzehnheiligen, a impressing Franciscan cloister. Departure to Dresden. Visitation of the Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera House, the church of our Lady and the church “Kreuzkirche”. Visitation of the Dresden castle. Then we go to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Dresden – Dessau – Berlin
Departure to Dessau. Visitation of the famous master houses of the Bauhaus. The next stop is Berlin. Visitation of the Brandenburg Gate. Then further the German Parliament Building and visitation of the Jewish Museum, a building with a spectacular expressionistic architecture, built by Daniel Libeskind. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 7: Berlin – Lübeck – Hamburg
This day we go on to Lübeck where you will see the Holstentor, a brick Gotic city gate. Then we go to Hamburg. Visitation of the harbor with an impressing flair. You will also see the architectural masterpiece Chilehaus, which was built as a sign for the economic boom after the First World War from 4.8 million bricks. Then we see the town hall. Overnight at the hotel in Hamburg.
Day 8: Hamburg – Cologne – Brühl – Cologne
Journey to Cologne. Visitation of the Cologne Cathedral, the second highest church in Germany and thus the third highest church of the world. The cathedral is the biggest Gothic cathedral ever. Visit the castle Augustusburg in Brühl. In the afternoon transfer back to Cologne. Dinner in the city. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Cologne – Aachen – Völklingen – Frankfurt
After the breakfast we go to Aachen to visit the Aachen cathedral. Then further to Völklingen. Insight in the former industrial culture of Germany. Way back to Frankfurt. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Frankfurt Departure
Transfer to the airport in Frankfurt and flight back. |
