ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Rome
Arrival at Rome airport. Welcome through English speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 2: Rome - Florence
Drive from Rome to the capital of Tuscany, Florence. On April 15, 1452 a genius named Leonardo da Vinci was born near Florence. His family could see the shades of genius in their young son and decided to send him off to the thriving city of Florence.
A walking tour of Florence helps to relive the excitement and beauty of this architectural masterpiece. Dinner and overnight in Florence.
Day 3: Florence
In the morning we will visit the famous and extraordinary Uffizi Gallery. At the Uffizi Gallery, ‘The Mind of Leonardo’ offer its visitors a different point of view, inviting them to explore the genius’ very mode of thinking and his unitary conception of knowledge. This approach gives rise a different image that helps to dissolve the aura of mystery in which the myth of Leonardo has often been shrouded. The rest of the day is free of leisure. Overnight in Florence.
Day 4: Excursion to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci
Vinci, Leonardo’s home town, lies in the heart of the most verdant countryside of magical and enchanted quality. We will visit the museum of the city, which is located in the medieval Castello Guidi, the Leonardo Museum dominates the small city of Vinci. In the afternoon drive back to Florence. Overnight in Florence.
Day 5: Florence - Milan
In the morning we are driving to the capital of Lombardy, Milan. In this city Leonardo established a studio and had apprentices of his own. He designed and built forts, laid out new canals for the city and painted many portraits. Leonardo also worked on his great painting, “The last supper”. Dinner and overnight in Milan.
Day 6: Milan – Rome
In the morning we will drive from Milan back to Rome. On this way we will pass one of the most impressive landscapes of Italy. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 7: Rome
In the morning we will go to the pope audience (if available).
In the afternoon you will explore Rome “Caput Mundi” in all its ancient beauty with Pantheon, Coliseum, Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Piazza Navona and Four-River-Fountain. Overnight in Rome.
Day 8: Departure Rome
After breakfast transfer with guide to the airport of Rome and flight back home. |
