Munich has been called ‘The Village of a Million Inhabitants’ because of the blend of cosmopolitan glitter and a village-like intimacy. This city has been described as the "Rome of Germany" because of its many churches, the "New Athens" because of its architecture, and as the "Bavarian Montmartre" because of Schwabing, Munich’s artists’ quarter.Munich is a city rich in culture and history with its numerous monuments and imposing architecture and palaces: Nymphenburg, Schleissheim and the Imperial Residence are just three of the many historic sights that illustrate its great imperial past. The wide choice of dramatic and performing arts, including opera, theater, concerts, and exhibitions, are evidence of the city’s insatiable cultural appetite. Year round, Munich offers events which blend good spirits with art and folklore, like the Oktoberfest, Fasching, the Strong Beer Festival. Another season not to be missed is the beer garden summer: long, lazy evenings under the shade of century-old chestnut trees, sipping the local brew and saying ‘Prost’ to the neighbors. Day 1: Arrival in Munich
Arrival at the airport of Munich. Warm welcome through an English speaking guide. Transfer to the hotel in Munich. 4 overnights in the hotel in Munich. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Day trip to Salzburg
After breakfast, full day excursion to the city of Mozart, Salzburg.
While driving on the high way to Salzburg we will pass the largest lake of Bavaria, the Chiemsee.We have also the unique possibility to see the palace Herrenchiemsee, a duplicate of Ludwig II of Versailles.
Arrived in Salzburg we will do a sightseeing tour through the city with its most important places like the residence, the cathedral of Salzburg, the cereal alley with its traditional shops and the fortress above the city. Later travel back to Munich. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Half-day excursion in Munich
After breakfast visit of the most important sights of Munich like the State Opera House, the famous Maximilian Street, the triumphal arch, the old students quarter Schwabing, the Olympic village, the Englisch Garden, the residence, the Hofbräuhaus, the Marienplatz with its carillon in the tower.
The rest of the day is free of leisure to discover Munich by your own.
19.00 Uhr: Drive with bus to one the famous beer halls in Munich, placed in the historic centre of the city.
On New Year´s Eve you will get served a four set meal and can dance to traditional music.
Individual transfer back to the hotel.

Day 4: Munich
This day is free of leisure to relax or ramble downtown. Individual dinner.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport.
